A tasty and satisfying side dish for any meal are these Garlic Butter Green Beans with Bacon and Almonds. Toasted almonds, garlic-infused butter, and crispy bacon elevate plain green beans to a whole new flavor profile!
Ingredients: 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed. 4 slices of bacon, chopped. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 2 tablespoons unsalted butter. 1/4 cup sliced almonds. Salt and black pepper to taste.
Instructions: Cook the chopped bacon in a big skillet over medium heat until it's crispy. After removing the bacon, spread the excess grease on a plate covered with paper towels. Put aside. Add the minced garlic to the same skillet and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. After trimming the green beans, add them to the skillet and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, or until they are crisp-tender and lightly charred. Add the sliced almonds and cooked bacon, and cook for a further two to three minutes, or until the almonds are toasted. When the unsalted butter has melted, add it to the skillet and stir everything around until the beans are covered in the garlicky butter. To taste, add salt and black pepper for seasoning. Take off the heat and place on a platter for serving. As a side dish, serve your flavorful Garlic Butter Green Beans with Bacon and Almonds hot. Have fun!
