For those of you who missed our first acceptance, our submit is open for more applications! We still have plenty of open characters remaining (open characters page will be updated within the next hour). Congratulations Sophie! You have been accepted for the role of Aang (FC: Darren Chen). I loved your descriptions of Aangās laid-back personality and his desire to finish living out his childhood, and how these things may get in the way of his responsibilities as the Avatar. It was easy to step up to do the job when Ozai was trying to exterminate an entire nation--but what about now, when the threat might not seem so dire? Iām extremely excited to see how the fallout of the war and his immaturity (despite technically being over a hundred years old) will catch up with your Aang!
Congratulations Sarah! You have been accepted for the role of Chan (FC: Xiao Zhan). I was so excited to read through your application and see that Chan was much more than just a bad guyā¢. After reading about your descriptions of his childhood and family life, I feel like I know him as well as I know some of the more main characters from the show. Your future plots section shows that youāve thought closely about potential plots with almost every character in the group and I canāt wait to see all those ideas played out on the dash! Your inclusion of Chanās Hogwarts house also made me giggle hehe.
Congratulations Kora! You have been accepted for the role of Katara (FC: Fivel Stewart tentatively; I know she wasnāt your top choice, but since Sokkaās mun put down Booboo Stewart as her top choice I think the sibling pair would work great! We can talk about this more later). I loved your thorough expansion of Kataraās past, as well as your acknowledgement of her faults. I especially appreciated how you touched on moments on the show when Katara was presented to be the hero but those moments simultaneously demonstrated how she could be stubborn, hot-headed, and impulsive. Iām sure sheāll continue to be the nagging mom on the dash, but I also canāt wait to see her darker moments explored on the dash!
Congratulations Candace! You have been accepted for the role of MingĀ (FC: Brianne Tju). You put so much thought and details into Mingās family background, I loved it! And her dilemma about her morals and identity crisis as someone who always felt stuck between two nations was so well-explained in your application as well. I was especially excited to see you mention things in your future plots section that showed that you were thinking ahead for long-term plots already! I canāt wait to see all of those things played out on the dash.
Congratulations Michelle! You have been accepted for the role of Sokka (FC: Booboo Stewart tentatively; feel free to change this after talking with Kora, Kataraās mun). Youāve been one of this rpās earliest followers, so I was super excited to see your application make it into our first acceptances! Your application embodied Sokkaās character soĀ well even just in the bio section--the flippant sarcasm and seemingly light-hearted tone when talking about serious personal topic was just so Sokka. Itās clear that you have a great understanding of Sokkaās character during the show and have exciting ideas of how heāll grow in this group without being reinvented into a whole new person.Ā
Congratulations Rina! You have been accepted for the role of Suki (FC:Ā Myoui Mina). I loved how you developed Sukiās family background. That is absolutely what I meant when I told peopleĀ āeverything not mentioned on the show or skeletons is fair gameā for writers to get creative. You really captured Sukiās confusion and sense of being lost while still showing her to be a confident, independent, and fierce woman. I was also excited to see that almost all of your future plot ideas had some sort of contingency likeĀ āI could see X happening but weāll see what actually happens when we rp.ā This really embodies the spirit Iāve been envisioning for this group!
Congratulations Bridget! You have been accepted for the role of ZukoĀ (FC: Kwak Dong Yeon). You were the first person to submit an application and you certainly set the bar high! I loved how you explored so many of Zukoās inner-conflicts. You drew from the show while putting in your own creative twists; plots continued from the show felt natural just as much as the new plots you introduced. Your application especially stood out because you clearly arenāt afraid to put Zuko through some hard and troubling times. I canāt wait to see our favorite angsty boy on the dash!Ā

Congratulations JC! You have been accepted for the role of Ty Lee (FC: Lana Condor). I think itās so easy to take Ty Leeās bright and bubbly personality purely at the surface level, but you went above and beyond to show that sheās so much more than her pink outfits and fascination with auras. I reallyĀ loved the little bit you mentioned about her daydreamingĀ and spacing out in the middle of conversations. And most of all, I love your interpretation of her friendship with Azula and as Maiās writer, Iām so, so excited to see Ty Lee on the dash!

Congratulations Toviah! You have been accepted for the role of TeoĀ (FC: Chella Man). Congratulations Bridget! You have been accepted for the role of your original character, Kai/ EmiĀ (FC: Adeline Rudolph). So much drama in one application! And Iām so excited to see how much more sheāll bring to the dash. With all this chaos going on in the Fire Nation, itās the perfect time for someone like Kai to swoop in and take advantage. The blind jokes and theĀ āno offense, Appaā were so spot-on. I loved how you expanded on her parents and her origin story as the Blind Bandit, taking what the show gave us to weave everything together into a more complete narrative. I especially appreciated how you acknowledged Tophās faults like her selfishness and stubbornness and you clearly thought about how these things could affect future plots.
