Hands down the best book I’ve ever read to my students. So emotional, and in a way kids can easily comprehend and empathize with. I was near tears at the end. If you haven’t read this book to your kids you NEED to.
That feeling when you and your coworker approach your admin about getting hit and your admin’s like “everyone here gets hit 🤷♂️”
Yes your honour, I did take a personal day a week before summer break 😔
We’re going to the zoo tomorrow and it’s gonna be pouring rain. RIP 💀

Today’s trials and tribulations only included what to teach for social studies (cause we’re literally done our last unit with 13 days left), writing report cards and EAL (english as additional language) comments.
They want us to make the EAL comments so wordy. Ex. An approaching level of understanding reading was demonstrated. This was demonstrated by reading decodable passages where the student successfully read utility words and simple repetitive sentences.
Why the fuck are we making EAL so wordy when the families are literally still English language learners and Google Translate can only go so far??? 😭 it’s so discriminatory
Also, today I’m catching up on my sapphic lit book for my book club
GUIISEEEE
It literally won’t stop raining 😭 I don’t want to teach onlineeeee 😭 I haven’t even set up my Google Classroom properly cause I didn’t have access to the password changing tool until after spring break so it just felt pointless to get it going plus I teach second grade what homework am I gonna put on there???
Fuuuuuuck
I’m definitely not going to keep up daily updates or stories of my classroom (I’m so tried at the end of the day, I can barely remember anything that happened 😂) buuuuut my students continue to enjoy math, they love getting the right answer and understanding math concepts. They were getting soooo hyped up today during our addition and subtraction review. My little hype crew 🥰
I may have barely gotten past the first two hundred pages of pure politics, but it’s reaching peak territory
