Purchased this Timex Electric Dynabeat a few weeks ago, not running in need of some love and the calendar works was having problems. The non-running part was fairly simple, full strip and clean, reassemble and proper lubrication and it's running perfectly, however getting the calendar works back together was nothing short of a miracle. Evidently you have to slip the day wheel tension spring behind the plate while you assemble everything else. Once that's done and dropped into place, you install the dial, and clamp it down, once that's done then you go back in from behind the movement, and release the spring back into normal operating position with something small like a small screw driver or what I used a fine oiler that I broke the tip off of. Now everything works, fully serviced, accurate as you like, polished the crystal, it was more like frosted glass than a watch crystal before I got my hands on it. Now its nearly perfect, there were a few deep scratches that I didn't quite remove, I generally like to leave a reminder that the watch has lived vs making it completely perfect. The Warm Toffee leather strap is really nice, I had no idea it was going to match the orange accents on the dial so well. I have also ordered a very Orange leather strap that should be almost a perfect match for the accents and that should make the whole watch pop. I love how well this turned out.
