Today saw a dramatic drop in TEG pricing in Mumbai's imported market. The price drop was caused by a combination of weak regional demand and abundant supply. Petrochemical sources stated that TEG pricing will remain stable in the coming days. TEG (Domestic intact) prices in Mumbai fell by Rs.3/Kg on June 14, 2023, from Rs.110/Kg to Rs.107/Kg.

According to petrochemical industry sources in Delhi, the cost of diethylene glycol mono butyl ether has risen due to a supply shortage, resulting in higher global market prices. Prices are expected to grow much further in the foreseeable future. On June 14, 2023, the imported price of diethylene glycol mono butyl ether in Delhi was Rs. 234/kg, an Rs. 2/kg increase over the previous cost of Rs. 232/kg.

Dichloroethane EDC prices have declined in the Mumbai market, according to Petrochem sources. Prices for dichloroethane EDC have fallen as a result of the volatile regional demand. As of June 14, 2023, the price of dichloroethane EDC in Mumbai had dropped by Rs.1/Kg. For the first time, the new basic price is Rs.43/Kg. 

The price of Caustic soda flakes in the Delhi market is steadily falling. The price decline, according to chemical sources, is attributable to increasing regional demand. On June 14, 2023, the price of caustic soda flakes went from Rs.40/Kg to Rs.42/Kg, a Rs.2/Kg decrease.

Petrochemical sources in Ahmedabad claim that DIBP has decreased significantly. It has been established that a lack of supply has led to an increase in DIBP prices in the domestic market. The coming days are expected to see a significant decrease in prices. On June 13, 2023, DIBP domestic intact prices in Ahmedabad were Rs. 128/Kg, up Re. 1/Kg from the previous price of Rs. 129/Kg.

An increase in PEG 600 prices has been noted in Mumbai today. A growing demand contributed to the price rise. The current price of PEG 600 in Mumbai is Rs.129/Kg, an increase of Re.1/Kg, from the previous price of Rs.128/Kg.

On June 12, 2023, Petrochem sources reported a fall in SBR Rubber grade 1712 prices in the Delhi market. Debilitated regional demand and inadequate supply have led to the price fall. The current price of SBR grade 1712 in Mumbai went down from Rs.170/Kg to Rs.168/Kg, a fall of Rs.2/Kg.

MEG prices are steadily declining in the Mumbai market. According to Petrochem sources, the price drop is due to strong regional demand. MEG Imported tanker load costs declined by Rs.1.5/Kg on June 12, 2023, from Rs.48.5/Kg to Rs.47/Kg.
