Thomas Alva Edison (February 11, 1847 – October 18, 1931), one of the most famous American inventor and businessman of all time & he exerted a tremendous influence on modern life. Thomas Edison’s inventions included the universal stock ticker, the phonograph, the first practical incandescent electric light bulb. He has held a world record of 1,093 patents: 195 for the phonograph, 141 for storage batteries, 389 for electric light and power, 34 for the telephone and 150 for the telegraph.
