Eldritchstar is a rather new leader, still fresh from receiving his nine lives. Despite just recently taking charge, cats are feeling very antsy about his leadership.

You see, Eldritchstar and his siblings were born shortly after Cricketclan came to be. While the other three clans were quick to establish a uniform lifestyle and live by the code, Cricketclan... was a little late to the party. Cricketstar, their founder, began to grow vain and relished in his newfound power. The leader used his clanmates to feed his greed.

Once Eldritchsnarl had earned his warrior name, he received a vision from Starclan. The ever so observant med in training, Lavenderpaw, was quick to catch on and deciphered the message. Eldritchsnarl was destined to kill Cricketstar. Shocked and in denial, Eldritchsnarl tried to find some good in Cricketstar and his supporters. Lavenderpaw urged him to infiltrate Cricketstar’s inner circle and even then, Eldritchsnarl would try and talk some sense into their leader. But as time went on, Cricketstar’s heart grew darker and his appetite for luxury grew larger.

He made the dark tom deputy and began discussing his plans to gain more territory. The leader planned to kidnap kits and hold them hostage until the other clans handed over large chunks of land. Eldritchsnarl knew that this, this was the moment of reckoning. The moment he had been reluctantly trudging towards. The deputy slit Cricketstar’s throat and rolled his body into the river, any lives remaining were swept away with the current.

Eldritchsnarl received his lives shortly after. His heart sank when Starclan placed their first, official mark upon him as leader- Permanently unsheathed claws on the very paw he used to end Cricketstar. Starclan meant for it to be a symbol of loyalty and duty, a sign to show how far Eldritchstar would go to defend his clan. But to the new leader, it serves as a reminder that he is a murderer. The cause of his clan founder’s demise. Now, Eldritchstar is unsure if he even has a place in Starclan.
