This makes me so mad.
Opinion: Rare wolf faces hard road to recovery
Short version: the Mexican Wolf (El Lobo) is almost extinct due to prejudice that's led to inbreeding. Farmers and hunters say they're a danger for *checks notes* being wolves.
Here's a direct quote about that:
"There’s no record of lobos ever attacking humans. Kids face more danger from poodles."
People keep shooting them. I'm frustrated that, in an era where information is so readily available, prejudice still presides.

😔 *sigh*… furry thoughts I guess
Since Dragon and Donkey could have hybrid babies in the Shrekverse, could Death and a Maiden have weirdo hybrid kids?

Death's gotta ask you something...
Since Gabby's Dollhouse: The Movie has the studio DreamWorks Aniamtion that brought you Shrek, Trolls, and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, I think it'll be upsetting for Gabby because her dollhouse strolling to this antagonist in the film, so I to set things right...
Death: Hey, would anyone miss me if I was gone? I had souls to collect, and I had to still do my job whenever I had days off from this or not. Everyone can live their lives at free will, but I was stuck in this job for life... (voice breaks) Tayla, I need you. I need to stay with you forever, so we can keep our film going... I love you, honey. (tears up, and smiles) You always knew how I had been going through when Puss, this gato who had mocking me because of his arrogance, I know I was wrong. Sweetie, I owe you my thanks. (kisses me on the forehead)
I’m not gonna beat the furry allegations with this, but I have not yet seen a play on Death and The Maiden for El Lobo/Reader from Puss In Boots: The Last Wish and if I have to do it because no one else will, then fine.
The whole thing that has me in a tizzy is actually just “The Maiden” being unnamed. If I’m making this trope literal, I love the idea of her not being given a name by her parents because they were too afraid to get attached because “death could take her at any moment”. It works for a reader-insert fic AND I can write in 3rd Person which is the tense I prefer so yayyyyyyy
Brainstorming under the cut:
I'm sorry for not posting the entire year of 2024, but I'm gonna share something with you...
When lobo said "Everyone thinks you'll be the one to defeat me... But no one's escaped me yet."
As he's saying this, you can hear the faint sadness in his voice, since someone who had died in his arms just affected him. He knows he's a better wolf person now aka. Death.
