Ekasti barely even registers how quickly it takes both she and Elixza to fall into their quadrant. Unlike Bhavan, the jadeblood truly does feel animosity towards the teal bitch of the blackest shade. Elixza would never be a tool for Ekasti, as she'd never had any plans for the tealblood other than to see her dead. That was still the plan, in fact. It never stopped being so.
Even after 40 sweeps. Over that time, the two of them had fought against and for each other. Killing those who would rob them of their revenge. Staking their claim on each others lives with kisses and blood.
But Ekasti was never one to fight which way this particular life had taken her, as it'd given her so much more purpose than the lives her other selves had lived. And in the end, she was right to take Elixza as her kismesis. Being the devoted disciple of Bhavan she was, it was only right that Ekasti should inherit all that he left her. She would follow the path he made to the bitter end.
And oh, how bitter Ekasti would make it for her kismesis. She remembers the little things the late highblood did to get the teal bitch's hackles rising. Antagonizing notes and gifts. Ekasti does the same. The only difference being that the two of them have clashed much more often than Bhavan did with her. And violence would take a swift turn into passion most nights.
But this. This would be the jadeblood's final strike at Elixza. No holding back anymore. No more sitting on their revenge, idle threats, or shallow wounds. They would be deep after this. Scarring, and in the end...deadly.
Ekasti fastens her outfit together, the high collar restricting, and her robe pressed and presentable. Just as her dear moirail had done. The jadeblood's outfit bore a striking resemblance to the one Bhavan had worn in his life, the only minor differences showing in it's design and coloring. Ekasti smiles, placing a pale kiss upon the brow of her moirail's skull for luck. The old, dry bone is cool on her lips.
She had sent her kismesis a message to meet. Ekasti hoped that Elixza would catch her underlying challenge. Their weapons would cross, no matter what. Time had been ticking down for them since her moirail's death. Soon, revenge would be had.
And blood would be spilled in the name of Bhavan and the Mirthful Messiahs. As it was always meant to.
