Authentic Dutch fried egg with tomato
This typical Dutch dish is delicious and ideal for lunch. Super easy to make and very tasty!
Ingredients:
2 eggs
1 slice of cheese
1 slice of ham
1 large tomato
sweet soy sauce (Ketjap Manis)
frying butter
freshly ground pepper from the mill
freshly ground salt from the mill
Preparation:
Step 1:
Cut the tomato into slices.
Step 2:
Melt butter in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Slide the egg into the pan (fry the egg sunny side up) and season with salt and pepper. First place the cheese and then the ham on the egg. When the egg is good, slide it out of the pan onto a plate.
Step 3:
Pour the sweet soy sauce (Ketjap Manis) into the same frying pan and heat it up. Add the tomato slices and fry them in the sauce. Slide it out of the pan onto the plate with the egg.
Serve with bread.
NOTE:
If you leave out the ham and cheese or replace them with a meat and cheese substitute of the same name, you have a vegetarian lunch.
