Xinxin is a Sydney-based artist working primarily with oil and egg tempera. Her practice merges traditional craftsmanship with contemporary surrealism, extending across both painting and ceramics. Drawing on the allegorical richness of Renaissance traditions and the fantastical visions of early masters, Xinxin’s work explores curiosity, the unknown, and the transformation of ideas between two and three dimensions.

Today I tried a new pigment, I first tried to mix it with water and Arabic gum but then decided to try tempera with egg yolk and boiled lindseed oil.

Painted a uterus with egg tempera paint because I thought it'd be funny and I don't like the one I have.
