Something sad I just thought about is the number of puns other monsters happily made to him about eggs, breakfast, hatching. He's a "bright egg", "hatching" new ideas, he goes right along with his coffee, maybe some jokingly ask if he will ever 'hatch'... but in the end, he ended up cracking, into a million eggshell pieces instead
