Ash stood on a wide flat boat, almost more like an extremely impressive raft than a ship. Atlanteans milled around behind her talking to each other in their own underwater language, and she knew more were patrolling under the ship, including Namor. Levy was sitting next to her in a white thin hoodie that matched hers and the other metahumans. Even Levy needed to protect his skin that was unused to the sun despite its natural deep olive color. His thoughts were shielded from her but she could feel he was a little anxious, but his demeanor was cool and in control. He had his legs in the water and jeans rolled up to his knees. Ellis was a bundle of electric nerves. He wasn't having a good time out on the open water under the endless sky. The wind was icy but the sun beat down on their heads. Scott Summers was standing next to Ash on her other side, shoulders so straight you could balance a level on it, and hands clasped behind his back. His thoughts were heavy with concern, but neat and orderly which was weirdly relaxing to Ash. A couple of meters out in the sea, another smaller platform stood, and it was already balanced on a pillar of stone newly jutting out from the ocean and still warm. The earth mover metahumans, lead by Rumi and Rictor stood out there, concentrating on the earth and at a pace that seemed to crawl at a speed of almost backwards to Ash's impatient eyes, they were drawing rich magma and rock up from the bottom of the sea, building and building, slowly forming a new island. A new land just for metahumans. Ash wondered where her place would be once Metahumans joined the world. With them? or with the X-men she had surrounded herself with? Namor broke the gentle waves and hopped up on the raft next to Levy to watch from a safe distance as the ocean started to steam and roil from the fresh wave of liquid rock they were drawing up, up and up to start forming a center mountain under their feet. He spoke easily to Levy, respectful of what appeared to be Levy's refined, intelligent, but cheerful attitude more than any of the metahumans which he mostly snubbed in his Princely way. Ash tilted her head back and squinted at the clear blue sky. What would happen when Rhodora came? How would the metahumans be regarded- and regard others? A wave bubbled up from the change in temperatures and rocked the raft. Ash stumbled but regained her balance again. Levy though, being Levy, reached up and pulled her down to sit next to him and put an arm around her shoulders. It was an act, Ash knew that. Levy didn't actually know how to communicate in genuine affection, every movement was carefully planned, but she appreciated him trying anyway. Ash settled against her cousins shoulder and watched the start of a new life being built right in front of her eyes.
