The next project was to create a fashion lookbook for graduate fashion students from the BA course, and through this, we would learn more about the components of editorial design. I was excited to start this project as I enjoy editorial design and it is one of the things I am considering carrying on with in the future.

Finished magazine layout for editorial mini brie, featuring a story on the history of the architecture of Birmingham, where it’s been and where it’s going next.

Some of my ideas for layout of the internal pages, really like the ones with the full page image of Alicia in front of the library, do some more experimentation around that idea 

Scamps for ideas for the layout of my magazine, need to do some more research into modern layouts and the effectiveness of different styles of magazine layout

Experimenting with different typefaces for the masthead and different images for the front cover of my magazine

Research into magazine layout designs and what I like and what I don't. Some good ideas to take forward into my own designs.

Analysis of some editorial layouts I have been looking at, gathered from Pinterest, Tumblr and Google searches. I have found that I am really drawn to editorials with very expressive type, something to maybe think about when creating my editorial?
