on one of your recent arts, you mentioned an au you’ve thought up. could I please know what it’s about? awesome art btw :]

So, i kinda made up this history while drawing this (could work as an au) and it goes like this

(i used google translator for this, the writing may not be the best)

General idea

This story takes place in the regular Death Note that we all know and have seen (Light is Kira, L is still the same, everything is the same), BUT, it goes a different route. L discovers that Light is Kira. But somehow, Light manipulates him so he doesn't suffer any consequences. Light ends up convincing L to join his side and create a new world together (Lawlight very implied). And they spend the rest of their lives being Kira together <3

But the key point here is that:

L makes the Shinigami Eyes deal

Although Light is kinda in love with L, he wants him dead at the same time. So he brings L the idea to make the deal with Ryuk, and L agrees. Perhaps because of Light's manipulative skills, perhaps because of his complete love and devotion he feels towards Light (similar to Misa), or perhaps because he's a fool (a fool in love). (he's a fcking idiot) This has the consequences we already know: it shortens his lifespan. L doesn't care too much about that, nor does Light (at first). Light wasn't really in love with L at first; it only started out as manipulation to avoid the consequences of being Kira. But the more time he spends being Kira with L, the closer they become, and he gradually begins to develop feelings for him. That's when he begins to worry and realizes that he'll only be able to enjoy half of the life they could have had together without that deal...

I'm sure someone else had a similar idea before me, but it just came to mind while I was playing with the color of the highlight for L's eyes in the illustration xd

Kinda funny how i ended up mixing some of Misa's personality (and kinda add a little bit of BB) with L. Idk... it's funny to imagine L being all silly and crazy.

(These doodles has nothing to do with the au, it's just for illustrative purposes)

I imagined L pointing at the criminals' faces every time Light asks him to see one of their names and says "bang" pretending to shoot them when the lifespan stops showing, so he knows they are dead.

All while having those crazy eyes and a creepy (but silly) smile.

(He makes me think of Mai from FNAFHS <3)

If this ends up being an AU, I don't know what I should call it. Do you guys have any name suggestions?
