Like I think of the comic panels of Maul as a child with Palpatine, or his battle with Savage and him. And how he can never truly escape Palpatine’s teachings, like trying to find a young impressionable appearance, in Ahsoka, now Deven and then Ezra, exactly what Palpatine did with him, bro can literally never escape.
Even during his monologuing scenes, he’s almost rambling to himself and not the person he speaks to, it reminds me of when he lost his mind on Lotho Minor, how when he went crazy he let the devil in even more.
