50 years "JAWS " tribute... 1975 - 2025 marks half-a-century since the movie Jaws aired in cinemas in the USA. The movie had two test screenings in Dallas (March 1975) but the most amazing premiere was at a small cinema theatre in Oak Bluffs near Edgartown (Amity) on Martha's Vineyard, the island of the Jaw-dropping Filming Locations. June 20. 1975 was the day when hundreds of eager islanders saw the "Island Premiere" of Steven Spielberg's mega-blockbuster "Jaws"! Movie fans in Europe had to wait until December 1975... In the movie, Marine biologist Hooper was played by actor Richard Dreyfuss, wearing an Alsta Nautoscaph superautomatic dive watch.
