@ectoplaesmâ ASKED â Breath in for seven seconds, exhale for eleven. â ( perhaps adult Callie )
Callie had felt as if the air had been knocked out of her lungs, her chest seized with each attempt to breathe. She almost lost her children, she almost lost everything AGAIN----the realisation of what had happened was starting to set in, the calm had past and the storm was brewing in her mind, thoughts of âwhat ifâ took hold and she couldnât BREATHE.
something pushed her down onto a chair, her eyes wouldnât focus and everything was starting to blur together---was she dying ? was she still possessed ? A rough, yet comforting hand rested a top hers, her tearful eyes that was had been solely fixed on the floor flickered upwards to the source, and of course itâs him---she bites back on a bitter laugh---his voice cuts through the panic, her chest eases and sheâs starting to feel like a little kid again who was too scared to sleep, fearful of the monster who lived under her bed, even back then, heâd been the one to comfort her, holding her close as she sobbed, and promised to protect her no matter what .
âI almost lost THEMâ
â: reaching out for someone [bonus points if they mumble! their! name!] ( sobs about half asleep egon reaching for her )
    alice stuck around the firehouse when she heard that egon was sick, it was already kinda snowy out enough that she didn't want to drive back or take a taxi back. in pajamas and a hoodie on, she crawled into the bed and heard him mumble her name softly as he reached out. " hey hey, egon, i got you - " she assured him, wrapping her arms around him and one hand playing with the back of his head, fingers playing with his hair. they were already cuddly to begin with, but there was a very protective side seeing him sick. able to see how half asleep, but how much he wanted her right there. " you need to stay in bed. you're the sickest i've seen. "
@ectoplaesm said:Â i shut you out as a form of protection. ( Callie! )
the fact that callie was already in a bad mood today feeds into the anger thatâs building. she hadnât meant to snap that he shut her out but now it was out and it wasnât a lie.
âprotection? from what? having a father? from having a complete family? from growing up without daddy issues?â there are tears streaming down her face, her voice rising with every word she spat. âi understand that whatever the hell we went through was big and scary and dangerous, but donât you think your family wouldâve helped you? that your daughter wouldâve wanted to?!â

@ectoplaesmâ said: â  you  look  happy  and  healthy .  â ( for dana! )
of all people that dana had expected to see tonight, her first night back in concert after a painting had kidnapped her child, egon spengler was not on the list. sheâd been caught off-guard, truth be told, when she spotted him, and of course she made her way over to him. heâd been awkwardly holding the program in his hands, close to his chest as he moved through the crowd. it was clear that he hadnât expected to see her, either.
a soft smile graced her lips and she nodded, catching his gaze. âi am... hopefully for good this time,â she smiled. âhow--how are things?â she asked, honestly hoping egon would not bring up venkman. god knew she wouldnât this time. she was certain egon knew what had transpired in the breakup not long after the statue of liberty danced its way through the town and honestly, she just wanted to put all of that behind her.
it was, however, so good to see egon. âyou look just as well, you know,â she smiled as a hint of rose dusted her cheeks.
@ectoplaesmâ LIKED FOR A STARTER !
Little feet come padding along old the corridors of the university, the poor receptionist followed suit, holding a small note from her mother for her father---sheâs slipping slightly under the weight of her backpack and plastic heels combo--but she just HAD to be a pretty fairy for her daddy ! Her curls bounced as she ran, a bow kept them from falling into her face---though she hadnât be a fan of that part, mommy didnât know how to brush her hair like her daddy did and it always hurt with her.Â
She stood upon her toes---using her little plastic wand to tap at the glass, a giggle bubbling out from her she grinned up at the door, waiting for it to swing open and reveal her dad which wasnât that long but to a three year old---it had been FOREVER !Â
âDaddy ! look look ! â
@ectoplaesmââ LIKED for a thing
Sheâd been too late, by the time sheâd gotten to the firehouse--everything was gone, heâd left her them, not even a note left in place. Peter had been the one to call her, telling her of her fathers mental stability âHeâs lost it Callie, heâs scaring the customers, and heâs scaring us---â Sheâd toned the rest out, ending the call with the promise that sheâd be there in a few hours. Why hadnât they phoned her sooner ? why hadnât her own father told her any of this ? why did he leave ? Sheâd pushed back her emotions, she couldnât let them get in her way---she needed to find her father before he did something stupid. Itâd taken days, but sheâd found it, an address for some farmhouse in a small town scrawled in her fathers writing, it had to be it, that had to be where he was going. Sheâd gotten her things together, and left just like he did. It was a long road to get there, but she couldnât stop, not until she knew he was okay.
She didnât stop as she pulled up, and she definitely didnât stop when she pushed through the front door, the floor boards creaking beneath her boots as she walked through the house, âDad?--itâs Callie..â
