A Lie Disguised As The Truth

Yandere Batfamily X Neglected! Reader X Yandere Superfamily
Y/n Wayne was a name whispered back in the shadows of Gotham's socialites, a small meek name, meant to not have any importance if the last name Wayne wasn't added with it.
The daughter of Thomas and Martha Wayne, the cursed one that was abandoned by her only brother and family. The one that people would give looks of pity before looking away with a sigh.
Because how dare you tarnish that great name?
You weren't the only one who lost your parents that day. Your brother did too! The successor, the brilliant Bruce Wayne , the one who could never do anything wrong. He recovered so why didn't you?
You were thirteen, while your brother was closer to eighteen for heaven sake! What were they expecting?
God but you tried, you tried so hard. Picked yourself up, when the world was failing you. Studied hard, smiled, did charity, everything to somehow gain your brother's love whom you haven't even seen smile before.
You kept on begging him to spare you some love, because you were scared and so lonely.
Time passed, till one day he seemed to have forgiven you. He gently patted you on the head. His eyes even softened.
“ I-I’m sorry…” You mumbled under tears.
They swelled up so quickly.
“ You're not at fault.. I-” He stiffened, the shadow covering his face that contoured into one of pain, “...-was too stubborn and stupid to blame you for something you couldn't control.”
“Don't cry.” He added, rubbing your back but you only cried harder. He looked back at Alfred for help who gave him a wink before looking away.
“ I'm here...” he whispered finally, you hugged him so tight in response, that both of you lost balance and fell on each other.
Alfred watched from the corner, sighing fondly , gazing at the Family portrait - your parents, Bruce and you who was but a toddler. Looks like his master and mistress could rest easy.
It was like a dream had come true for you, you could finally be loved and have your brother with you.
But then like the clock hit midnight in Cinderella's tale, the magic ended for you too.
Your brother who had grown so much and today was celebrating his eighteenth birthday and debut to society , announced he was leaving for a healing trip.
You remember being stunned and feeling such an incredible sense of fear. People whispered and talked loudly of what they had heard but you still could grasp when your brother had decided such a thing.
Your confused and shocked eyes met his, he turned away and didn't look back.
“ Was this truly the right decision, Master Bruce?” Alfred asked in the hallway, his eyes tracing back to the ballroom, where you stood, ready to cry.
Bruce passed him without looking. “...It …was..”
Your brother left the very next morning. From there till the next eight years, Alfred was your only company. Bruce would send him some letters from his different resort or locations and let him know how everything was going.
You remember asking Alfred to see them, only for him to shake his head and sadly sigh. “ I'm sorry Miss Y/n, Master Bruce strictly told me not to let you read them.”
It was only years later that you learned, it wasn't a trip but rather him training under world masters to become stronger. No wonder Alfred hid it from you.
Your brother had returned when you turned eighteen yourself and tried to enter in your life again. But you were tired and pushed him away.
“ Leave me alone!” You had yelled, running away. Guilt pooling in your chest , tearing falling down but the adrenaline was too much to mark you standing still.
You didn't see your brother for days after that.
Then one day, as you sat in your room reading, a knock on your door came. You opened the door to be greeted with Alfred holding an envelope. “Alfred?”
“ Miss Y/n, Master Bruce sent this for you.” He handed you the envelope. You broke the seal and took a letter out. Your hand tightened around the paper , he got some nerve.
I've arranged for us to attend this show together. You don't have to force yourself to come, I just thought it would be nice. The tickets are in the pamphlet. - B.W
You compellated how to reject this so-called invitation when his hurt face flashed in your mind.
He doesn’t deserve your time.
You're being selfish- he looked hurt
A cough from Alfred broke you out of your thoughts, gaining your attention. “ Your answer, Miss Y/n? ”
You clenched your jaw, handing the envelope back to him, taking the tickets out. “Tell him I'll be there.” How bad could it possibly be? You closed the door without another word.
That turned out to be one of the worst decisions of your life. You really couldn't enjoy anything without tragedy striking could you?
The flying Graysons fell and lost their wings, the little bird's cries echoed through the circus as people ran screaming, thinking it was another attack in Gotham.
Your brother was nowhere to be found
You were hyperventilating, finding it difficult to breathe, holding onto your chair for your dear life. Count to six, You needed to breathe…
“ Haa-haa four, five….six..” You closed your eyes and counted again. Soon your heart called down and you felt like your breathing had normalised.
You awoke to your brother standing in the middle of the Circus calming the young boy crying and weeping for his dead parents.
Your instincts told you what was going to happen with the way he bent down and covered the child with his coat and talked with Gordon. You couldn't say there was something that was hurting deep inside you, but you pushed it away.
That night made your brother the person he was today.
You were twenty eight when you finally had enough, most people would've left or moved cities years ago but you had remained.
It might've been the budding hope that things would get better or your brother would keep trying after you ignored him for the fifth time, but he stopped.
Maybe you weren't worth it anymore for him.
Your existence was forgotten in itself.
Your current eight nephews and nieces, yes including Barbara even if she wasn't officially adopted, enjoyed time in your absence with their father. You now knew why...
Something that could be so easily found out if you paid attention or healed enough. Ironic really. A mere slip of tongue by one of your nephews as they joked while watching a movie in the home theatre, revealed everything.
You had laughed loudly on returning to your room before flaking on your bed and crying dead for hours. “ They couldn't even trust me…?..”
That's why you left and moved to Metropolis without another word.
Why did you think they trusted you ?
Your small efforts, hidden care, even signs of affection meant nothing to them. Dick, Barbara and Jason who were close to you had changed long ago.
You weren't even informed of Jason's trip with your brother and his sudden death. When you had asked how he had ended up in a bomb location, your brother had shook his head.
Asking Dick or Barbara had yielded the same results.
Dick's face gave a painful blemish of regret and fear, his lips were trying to smile but his eyes showed a mixture of tears and resentment. He then proceeded to hug you and said not to ask more.
You heeded his wishes, even if you wanted the truth.
When you had visited Barbara, you swore she was crying just seconds prior - her eyes red and swollen, her lips badly cut as if she was holding herself back.
“Y/n…” She had whispered.
You couldn't bring yourself to make her break up more than she already looked.
Now as you stared at your reflection in the window of a cafe near the metropolis tower, self reflection was your biggest companion.
The waiter dropped coffee next to the table, you thanked him and began working on your project.
Your work served as a nice distraction. In the past month since you moved here, you've gotten many unknown calls, probably by your nephews and nieces.
But you had no intention of answering. You had blocked them all for a reason and were moving on with your life.
They wanted to be vigilantes and put their life in danger without you ever knowing and keep you away, well then good for them.
You were staying away now.
You picked up the cup to drink your coffee and took a sip when in a blink of an eye people began to fall in pain. Electric current appeared and surrounded the cafe, explosions followed.
Then you heard a menacing laugh that could only be of one of the villains from your experience in Gotham.
The man appeared and people started running. You blended in the crowd and made your way out. A few people got caught in another explosion while you bent down in time, luckily avoiding it.
That's the place where you met Batman's friend and Metropolis’s hero.

Lois Lane had returned to her husband's hometown Kansas with her children and new friend for early vacations.
It wasn't wrong to say she wasn't surprised with being introduced to the little kid she's been seeing in articles and magazines, since she barely started out as an intern.
Her husband had a knack for it after all.
Y/n Wayne ,a name she and her husband had read, heard and written about countless times as journalists. It wasn't completely out of the pocket to say she was more popular than Bruce Himself.
But the name that was admired for being an icon for emo during your teens and unfortunate child and adult during your twenties - hid who you were, your scars and what you had potential to become.
Louis was so grateful that Clark had befriended you. She couldn't imagine life without you right now. You were a joy to be around. Lois mused joyfully as her two sons - Conner and Jon - played with you.
Jon and you had tag teamed and were spraying Conner with the water gun, while he was yelling at you both to stop. The poor boy barely dodged his brother's attack when you shooted him from behind the back.
He let out a squeak that made you both burst into laughter.
“ What you doing Louis?” Her husband's arm came resting near her waist as he bent down his other hand on the table. Lois peeked his cheek , “ Look ahead, farm boy.” her eyes telling him to look forward.
Clark smiled. “ Y/n looks like she's having fun...” his eyes - bright and joyful for you. You deserved all the love and fun after everything you've gone through
Lois sighed, waving her hand in the air, “ Blast!? The girl's having a ball Clark!” she raised her hand to his cheek and met his eyes head on. “ So stop worrying about our little girl will you now?”
He didn't miss the word ‘our’ that his wife added. He knew how protective she was of you. It had boiled Lois and his blood when she told them how neglected she felt. Lois and he had been taking her to therapy for weeks now.
His eyes softened, as he responded to the touch with a loving kiss.“ She's twenty eight Lois. I don't think she'd like to be called a little girl.” Clark giggled adding.
Lois rolled her eyes, “ Whatever lets you sleep at night loverboy.”
“ I thought I was your husband.”
She grinned, “ Who knows~”
“Oh my God, I can't ignore this anymore-MOM, DAD WE CAN SEE YOU BOTH-” Both of them froze at Conner's voice.
Turning back , You and Jon were looking at them avoiding eye contact. While Conner looked so grossed out, you might as well throw him in a jar of magic potions.
Both of them practically jumped away from each other. Lois could feel the heat rise behind her ears. She coughed, “ Yeah, w-well your father and I were waiting for you guys to finish your game. Now that you have, let's get inside for lunch shall we?”
Clark nodded vigorously. “ Let's go inside, kids!” . . . Lunch at the Kent household was a chaos incarnate, it reminded you so much of your original family's dinner time. Times when they weren't busy being vigilantes or lying to you.
Clark passed you some turkey and you took it gratefully. Everyone was eating food, when a notification suddenly went off on Conner's phone.
Then suddenly a call came.
At first, he ignored it and shut it off but it kept on ringing. At last He picked it up, saw the caller and excused himself.
You were sure you heard him shout, which was rare to be of anger and then he barged outside and flew away.
What was that all about? __________________________________
Fingers tapped impatiently on the keyboard, eyes scanning and reading information so quickly it would be impossible for an ordinary human. It was dark in the cave but the Bat computer gave all the light the cave needed.
Ears perked up as the picked up noise and the figure rose. Conner landed inside the Cave, confusion and anger wide on it.
“ Tim, where are you !” was what Conner wanted to say in rage before he felt something stab him in his shoulder which was followed by a punch to his face.
He landed and hit one of the cave’s walls brutally. Coughing and squeezing his shoulder he got up and tried to ask why the hell was going on, before he was hit again.
Tim kept on hitting him till Conner felt he couldn't move anymore and then he clenched his collar and looked him dead in the eye.
“ Why is she with you?” he asked.
“ W-” realization hit him.
Conner, who was beaten to the last mile of his life, took a minute to answer. He coughed and spit out some blood.
“ You're got some nerve asking me why YOUR aunt is with us. ” Another punch followed him to the gut. Conner hissed in pain before speaking.
“ Why are you curious why she prefers us and not you? Is that why you asked me to spy on her? -” Tim hit him again, “ Shut up Conner- answer the damn question!”
Conner coughed, glaring at his best friend like he was a stranger. “ I have nothing to answer to you, Tim.”
“You guys are the one that lied to her and-” , he threw Tim’s hand away from his collar and head butted him, “-now if that wasn't enough you think making me betray her trust will make her like you?”
Tim hissed at the pain sent to his head and held his forehead. “ Just shut up! What the hell do you know! We've been trying to protect her-”
“ Protect her from whom ?”
“...joker- he can't know about her-”
Conner laughed, “ You're saying you were scared to let her know the truth because of that clown!? You're a fucking dumbass-” he got up forcing the kryptonite crystal in his shoulder out.
“ You know she misses you alot.”
“ What?” He asked like he couldn't believe that you would care for someone you'd spent six years around.
Conner ran his hand through his hair,, “Did you really think she's all jolly and joyful inside? We can see it, Tim…”
Sighing he added, “ Mom, Dad, Jon and even krypto - our dog - sees her sadness, you're supposed to be her family but you betrayed her trust by hiding the truth from her. You exclude her! You think you're protecting her but you're clearly causing her pain!”
“ -Just why don't you talk to her once and apologize?” He muttered.
Tim didn't know what to say. He clenched his fist, “ We've tried… she doesn't want to see us, all our numbers are blocked. She's even refusing to see Jason or Duke! And they were her favourite-”
“ So you gave up and decided that putting cameras in every single place she was, stalking her and spamming her emails was a great idea..?”
“...” Tim turned his head away, “ Hiding won't help you..” Conner said softly, turning his friend to look at him, his eyes reflecting the mess of a state Tim was. “ I can't promise that she will forgive you, that's not my place to say but-”
He wiped the tears falling down, “-At least you won't live with the regret that you didn't try..” conner winked and ruffled his hair, “ Now what do you say we get that emotionally constipated family of yours some lessons and go visit Y/n?”
“...hmm..” Tim melted in his touch. _______________________________
“ Do you think our Aunt will forgive us, Grayson?” Dick stilled at his younger brother's words, his grip on the steering wheel tightening. He looked back and made a sound that would come off as a chuckle to ordinary people.
“ What made you ask that little D?” He said with fake brightness, Damian caught on to it easily and didn't at all like the way his brother tried to shift the topic. He instead decided to question Jason sitting on the other front seat.
“ What do you think Todd?”
Jason turned back and looked at him, his eyes flickering between Cassandra, him and Tim. “ I don't know, kid. But we'll find out.” He said, relaxing into his chair - his hands folded around his head in triangles, “ So stop worrying about it.”
“ But what if she wishes to cut contact with us completely? She's already left the house !” He said looking at Tim, “ shouldn't we at least discuss the plan before following Timothy's thief friend's advice-”
“ Those degenerates are the ones who stole her!”
“ Calm down Damian-” Cassandra pressed her hand on his shoulder.
“ You can't possibly expect me to- not when I-we could lose my aunt forever!” Damian added, snatching his hand back from Tim who tried to pull his back.
“ You all are cowards-” Damian yelled, “ Cowards- that's why you couldn't tell her the truth-!”
“ BE QUIET, DAMIAN!” Dick screamed from the driving seat, hitting the break with such force that all their heads hit the car's roof with great recoil. Dick breathing hardened and he took several deep breaths.
“ Dick don't lose control.” Barbara warned from the comm.
“ I know, you don't need to tell me.” He mumbled before looking at all his siblings. He tried but failed at keeping his composure. His eyes were the biggest testimony of that.
“ D-Damian…please just..” His head resided on the steering wheel. “..Don't just- let's not give up- Y/n's always loved us and she'll give us a chance if we see her. So we can't stop hoping.”
Damian stared intently, “.... I hope your words can meet up with reality instead of delusions…” he added before closing his eyes and taking a nap.
The rest of the road trip was suffocating till they reached Kansas. ______________________________
Duke got out of the car and breathed in relief. Finally they had arrived, he thought Riding with Dick was a bad idea well Barbara and Bruce were definitely a joy to be around.
There was a pun intended. Those two were worse than hell. Spare Stephanie, she actually tried to make it bearable.
He gaped back at the farmhouse in awe. Its beautiful and strong frame passed an imposing feeling for those that stood in front of it. “ First time here Duke?” Barbara asked.
She smiled softly, which had an outlook of sadness, “ You'll like it here.” He didn't miss when she whispered ‘like her.’
As he passed by the farm field he heard doors slamming,he blinked, looks like his other siblings had arrived too. This was going to be either the worst day on earth or nothing.
There was no in between in Duke's opinion.
His eyes wandered to the figure standing In front of the house near the farm.Clark Aka Superman, Lois Lane, their sons and
Duke's breath hitched and he swore he heard all of his siblings and their adopted father's heart beat raise at her sight too. Their eyes softened like wax on heating.
“ Y/n…” he heard Bruce call.
Your eyes, which used to be kind, looked at them as if they were strangers and Duke was sure he heard one of his siblings take a deep breath. “ Bruce.” You said, not hiding the hint of hate.
Bruce took a step forward and you pulled backwards. Clark stepped in between you two.
“ Bruce, why don't we go inside and talk.”
“ No Clark,” You said, moving in front of him, meeting your brother eye to eye. “ I'll talk with him and them right here.”
Clark looked distant, looking at Lois and his son Conner for help.
Bruce looked visibly hurt but you ignored it like he did. If he couldn't care to tell you something that could've saved you so much ache and hate, why should you?
“ It's fine, Clark.” Bruce said, hiding his true emotions. “ We can talk here like she wants, I own her that much.”
You folded your arms, “ So Talk, what brought the great Bruce Wayne and his children here?”
He drew a breath, “ Why are you testing me and the children Y/n. You know we care for you-”
“ I'm asking why you came here- not this.”
“ We want you to come back…”
“ What?” Bruce brought his hand near your cheek, his face slipping all the Composure. You slapped his hand back. You cracked a laugh, your eyes looking crazy.
“ You think I'm going to come back to you after what you did to me?-” You ripped the collar of your shirt and pointed at the small scar that would usually look like a birth mark or remain unnoticed.
You jabbed a finger in his chest. “ You fucking put a chip in me, you Bastard!” Tears spilled, “ I thought you were someone I could trust- even when I found out about this I kept quiet -! thinking maybe you were over protective, maybe just maybe you loved me that much that you went this far.”
Your hands covered your eyes, your nose wet, you barely stood straight. Clark and Lois stood concerned but said nothing. Their eyes wide. They had known about the chip too but had kept quiet.
“And just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, I found another truth hidden from me. Busy- yeah right, Each and every single one of you played with me!”
“ We-” Stephanie tried to stop but was stopped by Jason shaking his head. “ No.” He mumbled. Tim looked at Conner for help who could only turn away and whisper, 'give her time and don't give up..'
You looked at all of them with a hint of hurt, your heart aching but you remembered how they lied to you. How they could die and you would never know.
How Jason was tortured and killed but you were told it was an explosion.
Your expression hardened, “ I-I’ve stopped…caring for you…I'm tired of all this…”
“ …Please just leave me alone..” you said, fidgeting.
Barbara placed her hand on Dick's shoulder and shook her head, nodding at Bruce, Tim and Duke. All of the boys hesitated but stepped away.
Barbara took a second, she, Cassandra and Stephanie extended their hand and gave You a book. “ We know this can't glue all the pieces of trust we've broken but I hope you'd give us a chance.” Barbara and Stephanie walked away.
Cassandra stepped away saying. “ We're sorry.”
Clark and Lois, supported you as you watched all of them leave. Your grip on the book tightening, you didn't think you could ever forgive them.
