Are we telling family memes??? Ok, one year my family was on vacation in NYC and we went out to the statue of liberty. Ofc the statue has a great view of the city, so my mom got SUPER excited and started taking pictures of everything. And in her excitement, she looked around and asked "where's the statue?!" While we were standing on it. So now we ask "where's the statue" anytime one of us seems lost or looking for something obvious lol

I love what you're doing with the newest fic! I love that they aren't automatically alright, that they're having trouble healing and adjusting and fitting what they experienced into their current world. It's such a realistic take that handles their trauma so well. I'm so excited to read more and see how they heal! Thank you for the fantastic work!

:D Ah, I’m so relieved and happy you’re good with the direction this story is heading — I never imagined anything remotely easy for them, honestly. It would’ve felt like a disservice to everything the went through in order to survive to have everything suddenly be okay? “Fitting what they experienced into their current world” is a great way to put it — they’re trying to make themselves fit back into a mold that maybe they just … don’t belong in any longer.
