Sorry but also um, the thought of mer!Neuvillette turning human for once and struggling on his feet...it's cute to me...shaky legs and falling back on the shore, having to lean against rocky cliffs to keep himself upright...Eclair finding him and throwing a blanket over his shoulders to give him some form of modesty before guiding him to her home...waaaaa....

Something something the melusines essentially acting as Neuvillette's pod/herd and him allowing them in his space where they are allowed to touch him and bring him gifts and see a part of him that he usually keeps reserved from others, something something Eclair slowly being fitted into that same space and he doesn't feel tense or uncomfortable when she comes into his space for non-work related topics or to help him fix his hair and clothes when he's been too busy to fix them himself or when he doesn't understand something and has to have her explain it to him and he appreciates her and her time and her presence and wants to show the same attention and care to her but has seen how qquick she is to move away from someone's touch if they get near her hair and he gets it (but not really) but he also thinks and doesn't think at all when Eclair is focused on reviewing a case file with him but he's focused on the stray hairs that have drifted from her usual style and the way she slightly startles but does not move away when he lightly pushes it out of the way and back into her usual style and and :(
