Good sewing machine for beginners: Singer Start | 1304
If you are thinking about starting sewing, I can tell that Singer Start is a great fit for you, at least it is for me. Singer Start is easy to operate. Threading diagrams are printed on the machine so you can be set-up in a few minutes (even if you are a beginner). I bought one and I'm in love with it! This machine is very charming, came with accessories, foot pedal and manuals.
I grew up watching my mother doing amazing clothes, my closet is full of my mother's creations. She always helped me with adjusts and projects in Brazil. Since I moved to California, I have been paying for alterations, so I decided to do my own alterations, it is very expensive here and sometimes the result isn't good as I had in Brazil. The fact I have a lot of seamstress in my family helps me a little bit, I can always ask questions and tips for them. Thank you Skype. :)
I got my sewing machine from Amazon, it costs around $80. Singer Start is a very basic sewing machine, but it does a lot of things for you, perfect for beginners and hobbyists (like me). I recommend this machine, I already did adjusts in my clothes and the result are pretty good. You just need to watch a few tutorials on the Youtube and to be patient. Let's try it, it is easier than you think and practice is the key. :)
