Ever been in a room full of people and yet feel terribly alone? Yeah. Same. I made a promise to myself at the start of this year is to never allow people to make me feel small, insignificant - including the voices in my head. I turned off the noise. So I distanced myself …and started practicing loving myself first and turning the negative self talk into affirming ones. It was hard and lonely at first. Many noticed my absence when I popped up in certain circles - out of sight of our mind I guess. 🤷🏾‍♀️ However, there were a few who saw my distance, stayed close to me, allowed me to move best for me and loved me unconditionally. Doing this definitely cleared the way for everything that’s come my way since then; so many good people, great opportunities and real life moments. My self love is me saying no to the thoughts in my head that I am not good enough, it was to focus on me, my journey, my healing, my love, my life. I love with all my being and I expect nothing less, I’d prefer to “leave quietly” (hold tight clubhouse on that one!) I wear my heart on my sleeve with boundaries now because I’m at a point in my life where I love myself more than ever before. I wrote all of this to say, go easy on yourself, love yourself because you’re the only person you are around 24/7.
