Sometimes I wonder whether we really need someone for the rest of our lives.It isn't by chance that we are born without any premonition towards our other halves or "soulmates". People spend their entire lives finding the one and then to fiind the next one. In a dystopian world, people would probably recognise each other with body markings or through an epiphany or (for the wolfy fans) smell.But our DNA doesn't have this modality (how difficult could that be). Human beings are just made for reproduction and survival. Nobody out there cares whether you find your "mate", we are valuable as a specie and what we can bring to the Earth as one (except pollution, population overload, quick resource exhaustation etc.).
Other times I think if we were not suppose to make an emotional bond, we wouldn't have been the only capable organism to have an EQ. We could've been atoms forming covalent bonds, mutually benefitting each other or an ameoba, just living mitotically.
If this is called the blues of the Valentine month, I am cyan (if only I could time travel and audition for avatar).
