Early Edition 2x11 | Friday Night Lights 4x09 | Friday Night Lights 5x09
i was watching Early Edition last night and I noticed that squeezing his hat against his forehead when he's frustrated/nervous is a Kyle Chandler thing and not just an Eric Taylor thing 😆
It's so interesting to notice little things that actors do like this, and at first you assume that they were told to do that by a director or something. Or like the actor was like, "ok this will be a good thing to do to show his frustration" as a one-off thing. But actually they're things that the actors do in real life that carry over in their acting. Like, you have to be very self-aware for this. For an actor to use something like this for multiple characters because it's something he noticed he does irl and that it fits for the scene. I'm just assuming things here, though lol. But it does seem that that's how that would work if he does that for two different characters over 10 years apart.
Anyone seen any good Quantum Leap/MacGyver crossovers?
They'd be old fics, I'd think, given the age of the shows. Back in the 1990s, QL crossovers were extremely common (show is kind made for them). I figure whatever it is that causes Sam to leap in, it almost has to be something he needs Al and future-knowledge for - MacGyver is too much of a superhero to do otherwise. Seriously, I was thinking how much faith people who know him have in MacGyver's abilities and of Sam looking at them like you "you expect me to what?" when they expect him to get them out of a scrape.
Also, if Mac ever crossedover with Early Edition, Gary would totally grouse that this was the guy who should have gotten the paper.
