look okay i feel like i have to preface this by saying that i understand that kirishima is a fictional character and does not exist in real life but man isn’t it saying something that his existence has impacted so many people? kirishima as a character stands for all things manly which he defines as not only what’s good for others in a righteous sense but what’s good for yourself in a nurturing, caring way- fostering your best self in a way that will let you live life as happy and regret-free as possible! and all the while we see him progressing through this character arc where he proves to himself that it’s not only possible to become the person you want to be, but that that (kind-hearted, brave, strong, & bright) person was in there the whole time. and i just feel like there’s something special about how kirishima being in this story has inspired so many people. that so many people really carry the “life led without regrets” mantra with them still. the amount of people who have dyed their hair red because of kirishima..it gets me when i start thinking about it but horikoshi really created a character who is both so bright and encouraging and uplifting and ALSO carries w him a hard hitting story about learning to love himself and he did such a great job at it that now every time he puts him back in the story it’s like he’s asking “you guys are still here for him right?” and we’re all still here screaming “YES”
