There are translation notes below, so heavy spoilers ahead!!
I am putting extra text here so that Discord embeds don't potentially spoil anyone. Huzzah!
I feel as though the rest of the Nein were planing on their usual: Make it up as they go along and rely on charisma or fighting, which has only really worked once for them - with Avantika. In with the Bright Queen, their lack of a plan or any sort of cohesion almost got them arrested, until the Doecha saved their asses. And Obann was them going head first into something they didn’t understand, and having to run when things went tits up.
Beau’s argument makes sense - especially for her as a character. Her line about it being like what happened with the Colbalt Soul puts it into perspective. She has, on multiple occasions, been forced to join up with someone and gained necessary information to come out on top. But she didn’t want to go in without a plan. I can imagine this senariario is painfully close to the Ambush with the Slavers, going in expecting a fight and underestimating their opponents. That’s exactly what they’re planning now. They’re walking in somewhere, expecting a fight without too much of plan. They didn’t have any leads then, and they have Jack shit now.
Molly has already shown himself to be extremely powerful, and they just want to walk up to him and do what? Pick a fight? Talk? A little bit of both? They don’t have a plan and have no idea what they are going to be doing. Trying to be civil is the best course of action, and the one that avoids any casualties. Beau was just trying to make sure that everyone had the same idea of what was happening, and someone didn’t fuck it up by running in weapons blazing.
The rest of the party most likely agreed with her plan of trying to convince the Tomb Takers, but didn’t have anything more to go on. Just taking a step back and taking a moment to think about it would have likely saved them in multiple occasions, so Beau doesn’t want to risk it now.
But they’re (at least Veth and Jester) are coming at it like it’s still Molly. They treating it like he can be saved, and knows who they are, so caution isn’t necessary. I mean, Veth’s “there isn’t going to be an ambush” just explains that she thinks that he still knows who they are and they aren’t in danger
TLDR: Beau was right in trying to plan, but the rest of the Nein - at least the most vocal ones - were likely planning on just sticking to their usual charisma checks, and relying on Molly still being Molly and not being Lucien and killing them/trapping them

Was it just me, or was anyone else expecting someone to just shout ‘MARCO’ into the cavern enterance or something when they were looking around for anyone.
I mean, imagine how great it would have been if shortly after, they just heard an soft ‘polo’ coming from the cave
