honestly don't think aymeric had that much real support from the nobles at first. if i were a scheming dzemael politician i'd be ready to scoop up what power i can gather but after the dust has settled after the church upheaval. revolutions rarely succeed at becoming governments. traditionalist ishgard is going to snap back somehow. house dzemael had the choice to fight back but ishgard had the dragons and civil war to worry about and instead i think someone in there said 'just let the borel lord commander twerp have a go, defuse the populism landmine, and inevitably fail. after church and military the nobility will be the only major power left. might even take down the fortemps, they've hitched their wagon to him pretty tightly'
three expacs later and paladin goody-two shoes aymeric is still holding on secretly just as much out of spite as idealism. ya he wants to go on adventures with estinien and the wol, but have you ever seen it slowly dawn on a dzemael nepobaby they need help from someone from the brume? better than sex. so help me i will show these scheming bastards the good inherent in our fellow man
On the Reconstruction of Ishgard
Another, interesting thing I like to think about right now, is just where all the Houses, after the Reconstruction, are focusing their repair efforts in the City Proper.
Fortemps appears to by right by the Arc of the Worthy, which makes sense as they are the Envoys, I think it would be fitting for them to be seen first upon entrance, to the City.
Durendaire appears to be assisting as their flag is positioned in tandem, within sight, of where Fortemps is working--which I think speaks to their willingness to now ally themselves with other houses. I think Durendaire saw themselves singularly as the preferred, reliable, House, in that they were tasked with recovery of the Steel Vigil, perhaps to be thought of, as the favored House, best funded, comparatively. They perhaps thought they always had to stand alone, but now know, together, something beautiful can be made.
Dzemael is in the Aetheryte plaza, which i think also makes sense, as the stonemasons. They perhaps will feel better suited to working around, and on the Aetheryte.
Haillenarte is recovering the Brume. As they are the most accepted there, this also makes sense, due to their good relationship with that area, and the people there. It is ever the Haillenarte's which had more freely walked amongst this area, being as the House had regularly assisted them, without expectation, and took in such orphans as they may to become pages or hand-servants. Haillenarte knows this is the hardest hit area of the City, and wishes nothing more than to see it restored, for those that still wish to reside in it, or cannot fathom anything else, bring the hope to them.

" No more games " Archombadin said as he firmly holds Kaida's chin
Archombadin has been pinning for Kaida since the scholasticate quests and well he intends to have her after EW regardless of who talks. High house scandals be damned

House Dulanger had long been in service to House Dzemael. With the untimely demise of the Baron Ser Alderique de Dulanger (posthumously “Ser Alderique the Resplendant”) at the hands of heretics, the Baroness Valtaine Dulanger had taken over the role of head of their house. Their eldest son Erchenaut had (reportedly) been unable to assume the position due to his tireless research on the Seventy-two Articles of Halonic Polity at Saint Endalim’s Scholasticate, as well as numerous other theological duties for the Holy See. But his reluctance to take upon the mantle of head of House Dulanger had many wondering whether he didn’t simply seek to avoid the position altogether.
Here I am again, with some new keychains and a new level in my GSM game, apparently.
I’ve now got the Ishgardian flag, as well as the House Durendaire and Dzemael standards to go with my Fortemps and Haillenarte keychains. And like all my other keychains, they can double as pendants.
Also pictured is a preview the set of earrings I’ve been working on, inspired by the Halonic [BLANK] Earrings that drop from the Vault (they’re practically done, but for hooks). They’re not exact replicas, because I am unfortunately not a real-life metal worker, but I found a way to make things work.
The new keychains can be found on my Etsy store
After the earrings are done, I’ll be looking into making either other pieces of the Halonic accessories or other accessories in the game, depending on interest. Personally, I’m wanting make something like the cherry blossom choker.

saint endalim's scholasticate questline
my transcript of the scholasticate quests is finally done! i started organising it years ago for myself, this account has really motivated me to finish old projects. when i first started, the online records that i could find for the quests were lacking, and i really wanted them to be more accessible. some reference material exists now, but i still want to share my script. i hope it may be of use to somebody.
aside from the story, i recorded optional dialogue, added references to the scholasticate in different quests, and other information such as alternate emote responses by some characters. essentially, it's a project made out of love for the scholasticate quests and its characters.
here is the link!
i truly believe the scholasticate questline carries a wonderful amount of lore, discussion on ishgardian faith post-heavensward, noble-commoner relationships, and interesting, fluid character dynamics.
this is the first time i've posted something like this, so if there's any errors, please let me know! similarly, i'm open to feedback on improving it.
