Serafin/EliasâWhere the fuck did that clown come from?â
Elias sat at the bar, head buriedin his hands as he nursed a cup of heavily sugared coffee. Why is it so bright in here? He rubbed his temples and closed hiseyes tight, I wonder if Serafin can curea hangover with her powers. He sighed and peeled his heavy eyes open, squinting in the harsh daylight that filtered through the musty inn windows.
âWell donât you look chipper!âSerafin said taking a seat on the stool next to him, all smirks and stifledlaughs.
âYou come into my space and startattacking my bubbly personality? Itâs like I donât even recognize you thismorning!â he said.
âWell you were pretty âbubblyâlast night,â she snickered, âI thought you were going to pop the amount ofalcohol you were consuming.â
Elias groaned at the wordplay, shaking his head as she laughed and shot him with finger guns, âI just have onequestion,â he said fixing her with amber eyes.
  âJust one? Thatâs hardly believabubbleâ
Elias put his hand over his faceand massaged his forehead with one hand, âSerafin please.â
âFine burst my bubble,â his handslammed on the bar top and he turned to look at her, a smile twitching at hislips through the fake annoyance and she raised her hands and shook her head, âaskaway.â
Elias leaned in close, âWhere thefuck did that clown come from?â
Serafin narrowed her eyes and herlips parted, âYou take something else I should know about?â
Elias jerked his head to theright, âIn the back corner, farthest table. Wild green and orange hair, rainbowmotley clothing. I mean I donât remember much of last night but they are also wearingmy cloak and I would like to get it back.â
Serafin turned to look at thetable in question and broke out into a boisterous laugh, she half fell from herstool and had to hold her sides as Elias looked at her in bewildered amusement,âWhat?â
âThatâs not a clown,â shewheezed, âthatâs Gillen! By The Rock you really donât recall anything from lastnight do you?â
Eliasâ eyes widened and a smilebroke across his face, âI guess he should have heeded your words and stayedaway from the Dwarven stout.â
âAnd you should have listened tome and stayed away from all the vodka and wine,â her eyes crinkled.
âPsshhh,â Elias waved a hand ather and sipped his coffee, âLike I told you last night Iâm fine.â
She grinned and laughter burstfrom her small and muscular body, âYou havenât looked in a mirror have you?â She askedwiping tears from her eyes.
He placed his mug down with aquiet click on the stone bar top and licked his lips, âDo I even want to?â
Serafin snickered into her handand walked around behind the bar. She found a relatively shiny silver patinaplatter and clambered back onto her bar stool, sliding her find towards him. With delicate fingers he held the plate in his hands and brought it up to hisface. His once chestnut-red hair was a shocking shade of electric blues andcrimsons and his cheeks were stained with black tears from heavy makeup he hadapparently adorned at some point in the evening.
âOh noooo,â he whispered touchingthe makeup smeared scarred tissue of his face, âSerafiiin!â he whined, lookingto her for answers.
She could not help it andcollapsed to her haunches laughing, her sides feeling about to burst and Eliascould do nothing else but join in on the merriment.
âYou wanted to be my manic pixiedream elf,â she giggled.
  âAnd Gillen?â
âHe wanted to prove he could doit better than you.â
âFor fuckâs sake and you let usdo this?â
She stifled another round oflaughs, âYes?â
Elias lifted his mug to his lipsagain and chuckled before taking a sip, âFucking unbelievabubble.â
