All writers are delusional...at least I am. “All writers are delusional,” I said stifling a laugh as my cousin and sister nodded knowingly. Of course I was not generalizing outside of our circle and perhaps I was projecting a little. I never imagined that I would become a writer. I didn’t count my endless diary entries from high school nor my talent to procrastinate on a paper and still receive a stellar A. In fact, I was a terrible writer just a few years ago, especially when writing poetry… which led me to some frustrating times trying to write lyrics. I finally improved when I had a muse. Ew, cliches. I hate them, forcing me to get creative with ways to say the same thing over and over again. I’m a writer (of sorts). A singer-songwriter and a simp. Or perhaps in reverse order.
