There is something unsettling about returning to the fĂźhrer's mansion. The occupants may have changed--Bradley being now long dead, Selim and his wife unaccounted for--but she can feel them all lurking in the shadows.
Roy takes her coat and hands it off to a waiting servant, then guides her into his wide sitting room. She follows, obedient and nervous.
Dinner had been quiet, unusually so for them--their dramatic encounter this afternoon had widened their distance considerably, and Riza was too far inside herself for a proper interrogation.
Now... now she sits and folds her hands and stares across the room at Roy, wondering who he really is now.
