#dwarf hamster

Teddy update! I took him to the vet and the vet said he looked very healthy! No sign of dehydration, which means I was doing a good job with at-home treatment, teeth were the proper length, ears looked good, eyes looked good, heart rate was normal, and no blockages in his digestive system. The vet thinks there's something wrong with the boredom breakers I made him and I have to agree because problems started occurring immediately after giving him the boredom breakers. I've made them for previous hamsters with no issues, it's just wood toys with flour/water paste and seed mix, but clearly, for some reason, something is different this time. It's whatever. I'll just buy him better toys. The vet said he should heal on his own but to keep monitoring just in case (which I'd be doing either way because when Teddy goes so does my mental health). The vet also gave me some painkillers to give him and they're already working as he's drinking water from his dish and bottle! I also got him some Critical Care Omnivore stuff for more hydration because, especially during the summer, you can't have too much hydration. Regardless, glad to have some good news and to now have a regular vet (I did have an old regular vet for my previous two hamsters but they went out of business unfortunately)
