y'all how does one fix a dvd player that doesn't spin the disc properly? like it's just spinning tiny amounts at a time and making little scraping noises for 45 seconds before it tells me there's not a disc there

I love my parents but they NEED to understand that DVD and blu-ray are NOT THE SAME THING, my DVD player CANNOT read blu-ray disks and so the box labeled DVDs is full of BLU-RAY!!

I bought jaws 2 second hand but it had a polish 10,000 bc disc in the case. I dont want 10,000 bc I want jaws 2
