Also, before I switch my brain off today, I'm kinda screwed.
My mother's birthday is this weekend and I still have no ideas. At this point, I'm considering making my own DVD for Project Hail Mary...
Except I tried to do that with the animated Babylon 5 movie ages ago and while it did get burned onto the DVD, it just doesn't work in a DVD player. It only plays on a computer and it's treated like a USB stick for some reason. And if it doesn't work in a DVD player, my mother just won't watch it.
I don't really know what I did wrong, I've tried burning stuff onto DVDs several times but it's always the same thing. The disc type is suitable for my DVD player too, so it's not that. The video file is the right type as well. I burnt it at 8x speed, so nothing too high. The only thing I haven't done is a main menu or anything like that. Every main menu making tool sucks. Does the DVD need some kind of instructions so that the DVD player knows how to play it?? I can't find anything that would suggest that. Can't it just play the video automatically without a main menu anyway like it does on my computer?

This might be a hot take but I refused to buy blu-rays because I think they are ugly and don't match my dvds.

I use Ibispaint and Pinterest! To get the fun shape I have on mine I used a profile mask!
I use a 1500x500 canvas and the font "Marker Felt Wide", is that helps! I could attempt a step by step tutorial potential if you, or anyone else wanted one!
