My redesign of the Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning DVD cover - - - I redesigned this DVD cover because I felt that the original design didn’t capture the essence of the Mission: Impossible franchise, especially for the film that marked the finale.
Mission: Impossible is most known for its daring stunts that are captured on camera, therefore I chose this compelling image of the main character trapped under the ice. I used the colour scheme from the image on the title design, changing it from red to teal to match the cover image.
Mission: Impossible is also known for its stunning landscapes and locational shots, which is why I chose this image for the backcover to highlight this.
These two images are high constrasting with shadows and light, and one of the main themes of this film franchise is that the characters are hidden from the main society, saving the world without anyone knowing - “We live and die in the shadows.”
Therefore, I thought choosing two images with high contrasting light and shadows fitted that theme well.
