Art Challenge: dutchorca

Here’s what I did on the first day of my uni mid-semester break! Finally got around to cleaning up and finishing my part of the art trade with dutchorca for the ‘Draw Eachother’s Art’ Challenge.

I chose their Keiko bookmark because I like big pecs and I can not lie the angle, lighting and just about the everything make Keiko look utterly angelic! I had a world of fun with it, the background, the pose - thank you for letting me draw it, Dutch!

NPR, National Public Radio (here in the United States) did a segment today over lunch on their Fresh Air program where they interviewed a former whale trainer from Sea World (and I found that fascinating in and of itself, his recount of a particularly harrowing experience of whale aggression was enough to make me uneasy) and also two executives from Sea World.  I don’t remember one of them but the other was the Vice President of Veterinary Affairs.  I only really paid attention to the very beginning and the very end, I was driving to the store over my lunch hour today and only listened to it while it was in the car.
