Wish I could use Dutch here more often. 'Act normal' does NOT have the same energy as 'doe normaal' and there's not a single translation that does have the right energy. But often I do think Doe Normaal Gast when I'm scrolling Tumblr.
I feel like you should all know that in Dutch the word for 'mischief' is 'kattenkwaad' which literally translates to "cat's evil(doings)" and the reason I was reminded of that is because every night I tell my foster kittens to be nice while I sleep (lest we end up with two of them stuck under a box again for god knows how long), but tonight I decided to go with a (grammatically) negative phrase, so I said "don't do any mischief" and then as I was saying the word 'kattenkwaad' I realised that might be asking too much of them, given that they're, you know, cats.
I'm fully translating the Starlight Express 2012 UK Tour script into Dutch!
I really love Starlight Express and it has never been to my country, I would love to see it one day and even more in my own language... so I'm simply translating it myself while waiting!

I wouldve much rather done OLC or revised London or Broadway, since caboose plays a bigger role in those productions and he's my favorite, but this is the only script I could find. Stick around and I might add There's me and 1988 C.B. and possibly also three heads and No Comeback after I finish the rest of the script.

Hello everyone! Sorry for not posting original content in a while. I had the time to read and study, but I lacked motivation. (i have at least 10+ paperbacks and 30+ ebooks to read, and yet I still didn't finish the book I started 2 weeks ago π π)
A little update: My foot is alright, I just strained my ligaments. I couldn't walk on my left foot for 2 weeks. After going to a checkup a couple of days earlier I started walking again. It's painful, but I'm glad that I am finally able to walk again.
Fun fact: All the photos were made today. (I usually add some old photos to the mix) Mom made a spongecake. For a spongecake that doesn't have any animal products in it or oil, it tastes surprisingly well.
What I did today:
Read some articles on "der Spiegel"
Revised nearly all of the material I studied so far (because I didn't study in a while)
Listened to the German news on "Die Nachrichten" by Deutschlandfunk on Spotify
Dutch people when the bill comes
(The joke is that "the bill" in Dutch (de rekening) is spelt and said very similarly to the reckoning in English)
