For today’s #stateoftheshopsaturday I’m putting this surface area to better use! This is the housing for my dust collection cyclone, enclosed to reduce sound! I’ve moved all my smaller clamps to this one space, previously they were in 3 different locations with the idea that they’d be more accessible, but I found it just wasted a lot of space! I’m also nearly finished organizing all my hardware in these sys-drawer units from @festool and it’s on wheel so I can just roll the stack around to where I’m working! Dry-erase board to leave notes for other folks who come work in the shop and the guys who are starting to work for me! My shorter tracks are easily accessible here as well! (The longest is too long for this part of the shop to be vertical!) time to finish up some other projects, send some quotes and drawings and respond to emails that built up over the week while I was on vacation! Here's a quick tour of my progress on the dust collection saga. It's all 2" PVC and powertec hoses and parts. I actually figured a way to get everything in one run without tripping over hoses ot having a separator in the middle of my workspace. Got the T and long runs installed. left goes to the mitersaw and tablesaw. Right goes to the small bandsaw, my sander/hand tool/cleanup flex hose, then up to the OSS, and the big bandsaw. Still to be added at some point in the future are a multi use hose for the drill press and scroll saw, and maybe a floor sweep.
