Waiting for the Queen Car
as Dufferin and Queen Street West in Toronto, I saw this traffic box. StreetArt Toronto has a programme called “Outside the Box” and taking applications from artists to paint the grey traffic boxes that are found at every intersection with a traffic light.

Interesting couple days I have been breaking practice up in to short sessions throughout the day instead of one long session in the evening.
Yesterday a guy came in with a Dufferin zodiac that belonged to his father before he passed away. That's a big responsibility and I felt the weight of it for sure.
My customer had knocked the tip off because the ferrule was loose. When he hit a ball the tip popped right off. Over the years as the shaft wood dried it shrank slightly freeing it from the glue. So I removed the ferrule and re-glued it. I got the impression that he wanted it to be as much as possible the same cue his dad played with. I installed a Ultraskin medium as he didn't have much opinion about the tip and Ultraskins are a inexpensive and generally liked tip.
I also removed a bunch of dents and evened out the taper which had been hand sanded unevenly and gouged in a few spots. I also cleaned up the joint and resealed the shaft. Afterwards it was pretty perfect. He was super happy and called later to let me know how happy he was with how it played. He Also asked if there was somewhere he could leave me a good review lol. I told him I guess this could turn into a business someday but for now it's just my life.
