MY FELLOW AI HATERS AND ANYONE WHO USES DUCKDUCKGO AND FIREFOX, I have just learnt a wonderful new thing that I wish to share with you all.
So, DuckDuckGo standardly has an AI feature, which although you can turn off/disable, it sometimes re-enables itself. Here's how to avoid that entirely because I've discovered DDG has a NON AI version of their browser.
This tutorial will be specifically on my phone, but it should more or less be the same process on PC.
Firstly, open your browser and tap the search bar as if you were making a search. It will then give you the option to switch search engines.
From here, tap on the search engine icon. In my case, I've already changed it, but you should have the standard DDG symbol there.
Opening it will give you a bunch of search engine options plus browser settings, tap on search settings.
This will open your search settings, and at the top will be default search engine and manage alternative search engines. Tap on the second option to manage alternative search engines.
This will show a list of search engines and the option to add an alternative search engine. Tap on the plus symbol down the bottom to add a search engine
Insert the name you want to call it (i just used No AI DDG) and in the search string URL, INSERT THIS LINK. I will add this link also as a comment for ease of copying.

Then press save. Afterwards, go back to the default search engine option in the original search settings page that you first opened. Select the default search engine option.
And select the NO AI DDG search as your new default so any future searches will be done through that specific search engine (also make sure you select use the same search engine as normal browsing for private browsers)
