Soft male friendships in kids’ animation still feel surprisingly rare. I think a lot about specificity in storytelling, and how “diverse” stories aren’t always about big, sweeping concepts. Sometimes it’s just about exploring emotional dynamics that don’t get a lot of attention through a lens you don’t see through often. I know this fandom is more or less in its egg/fetus stages as I like to call it because there’s more posts on Twitter than on tumblr BUT PLEASE RECOMMEND THIS SHOW TO PEOPLE I KINDA WANT THIS TO BE A PENN ZERO PART TIME HERO SITUATION WHERE WE CAN GET AN EARLY SEASON 2 GREENLIGHT IF THE EXECUTIVES SEE IT AS SUCCESSFUL
