The ancient God follows without thought, slithered beneath cobblestone shadows noir & hollow. Depts of cityscape cannot comprehend such horror that lay inwards. Thunderous form quakes windowpane, as lesser pokemon quiver & cower to an unknown ominous force. To humans she is but massive shadow among reflective surfaces, appearing for a mere second & disappearing the next.
it was odd being back in sinnoh. everything was familiar, but the whole atmosphere had shifted. there was no more looming threat from team galactic. everyone just looked so much more … relaxed.
well, everyone apart from looker.
another sleepless night, he was up and out before the sun had even risen. the streets of jubilife were empty, the only signs of life being the occasional light having switched on from a something – story window, indicating the occupant had just woken up. the officer figured he had time to drop by the local pokecentre for a quick coffee – an espresso or something just as strong – when a sudden chill washed over him. it wasn’t like a gust of wind, no … the trees weren’t moving. he stopped in his tracks, taking a minute to scan his surroundings.
it was clear he was the only one nearby.
as he turned to head back towards the orange – roofed building, a crimson glare met his own gaze from a shop window. startled, he stumbled back, and by the time he focused on the shop window, the only thing that was looking back at him was his own platinum stare.
perhaps he should just get inside.
