DSPR coordinates Stress-relief activities for Virgin Islands families

The Department of Sports Parks and Recreation has coordinated and organized stress-relief activities for Virgin Islands families.

St. Croix activities will be hosted for two weeks in partnership with the Department of Education and Fire Service Department. The activities have been scheduled as follows:

Tuesdays and Thursdays (October 10th and 12th) from 1pm to 4pm activities will be held at: Midre Cummings Park, Williams Delight Park, Castle Burke Basketball Court, Glynn Basketball Court, Rudy Krigger Complex-Sion Farm and D.C Canegata Park.

Wednesdays and Fridays (October 11th and 13th) from 1pm to 4pm Emile Henderson Basketball Court, Rendholt Jackson Complex-Whim, Isaac Boynes Ballpark-Grove Place, Basketball Court at Aureo Diaz Heights Housing Project, Pedro “Pei” Cruz Ballpark-Profit and La Grande Basketball Court.

Following week:

Mondays and Wednesdays from 1pm to 4pm activities will be held at Midre Cummings Playground, Williams Delight Park, Castle Burke Center, Glynn Basketball Court, Rudy Krigger Complex-Sion Farm and DC Canegata Complex.

Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1pm to 4pm Emile Henderson Sr. Basketball Court, Renholdt Jackson Complex-Whim, Isaac Boynes Ballpark-Grove Place, Basketball Court at Aureo Diaz Heights Housing Project, Pedro “Pei” Cruz Ball Park-Profit and La Grande Princess Basketball Court.

Fridays from 11am to 4pm Renholdt Jackson Complex-Whim, Pedro “Pei” Cruz Ball Park-Profit and DC Canegata Complex.

Snacks will be provided.

Due to the fact that schools are opening this week in the St. Thomas-St. John District, a different approach has been taken. St. Thomas will be hosting activities at: Alvin McBean Complex-Tutu, Winston Raymo Center-Hospital Ground, Emile Griffith Ballpark. Activities are scheduled to be held beginning next weekend.
