A 'KIT FOR: cTOMMY !
Including comfortable, masculine clothing, circle skirts, cows, and bugs.
I've conceptualized my reccomendation as broadly standard, traditionally masculine foundation, with more eclectic elements as accesories! I'll, of course, be getting into the specifics now:
🌿⋅˚˖𓍢ִ໋ MATERIALS!
DENIM, DENIM, DENIM! I know you are best known as a khaki sort of guy, but when I see you in my minds eye, I'm seeing denim! I'm especially thinking of steel blue denim. Otherwise, I think you're very flexible. Cottons, as with any person, would look lovely. Especially for T-shirts and overshirts. I also think flannel and plaid would be good options for patterned fabrics. For accesories and jewlery, I advise you stay away from metals and stick with fabric, cordage, leather, and plastic! Bold, I know! But I think it adds to the look. I reccomend you keep an eye out for tastefully wethered and frayed fabrics especially.
🌿⋅˚˖𓍢ִ໋ APPAREL!
Big, bold colours are the name of the game, if you ask me, but if you wish to go for a more muted or pastel colour palette, you are free to modify as you wish.
Similarly to my Tubbo kit, I think you should go with a baggier silhoutte. I know you are often depicted wearing cardigans, so that is by all means something you can consider, but overshirts are also very appropriate, easy to find second hand, and come in a variety of colours. T-shirts or long-sleeved cotton raglan shirts are both good options, and are similarly common secondhand once you know where to look. I also reccomend glancing at linocut prints! As I find them aesthetically befitting.
As for bottoms, I deeply envision jeans, especially baggy cuts like skater jeans. Frayed or patchworked pairs looks are all the better! Though other baggy styles like harem pants could work well, with a woven belt to add a nice, natural texture. Of course, I would be remiss not to reccomend the requested circle skirts, with a particular emphasis on patchwork! You can often find these labeled as "boho skirts".
When it comes to footwear, socks could be a fun, but subtle injection of colour and texture, along with shoes being a huge way to bring together a colour scheme! I super reccomend something saturated, chunky and bold, like platform sneakers or high-tops! Alternatively, boots or the classic converse are great options. Super easy to thrift, too.
🌿⋅˚˖𓍢ִ໋ ACCESORIES !
Here's where I advise you go hog wild. I'll start with some of the things more catered to your specific interests, such as lots and lots of bugs! Some cows too! (Some of these shops contain many other options you can choose from!) I reccomend you pair these with their respective materials. Wood with wood, enamel with enamel, so on and so forth. But you may do whatever you please. I also found this cattle tag keychain, which I find super charming, and inspirational for other similarly themed accesories. I think adding patches to your garments would be highly advisable, you could also opt for solid colours or patterned fabrics of your choice (cowprint could be an option!). Jewellery is always superb, and I personally really envision kandi as befitting for you! Or any other kind of playful, colourful belt chain. I know that you're the kind of guy that likes bandanas, so I'm happy to provide you with options, though you could always use any scrap fabric of your choice! I additionally just really advise any other eclectic accoutrements of your choice.
🌿⋅˚˖𓍢ִ໋ MISCELLANIOUS!
As I'm sure you've picked up on by now, many of these things are very accesible through crafts of your own, and frankly, I reccomend taking this route over purchasing, as it allows you more freedom of choice, and it gives you a fun hobby! The sort of rough-around-the-edges, handmade look of these things really works for the kind of look I think makes you... Well, you!
You can start with learning to sew as a means of making your own accesories, such as patches, bandanas, fabric bracelets, etc. Kandi is an excelent, inexpensive craft that will present you with oodles of possibilities of accessorization. Making crafts out of bottle caps, buttons, or other recycled materials makes for both a very sustainable path to take, but also an aesthetically fulfilling one! Grab scraps of fabric and tie them to yourself, or your bag, Attatch everything and anything to your belt. Wear bandaids as an accesory. Make a patchwork patch of the flags or symbols once dear to you. Go wild!
And, lastly, I know that you had quite a close connection with music discs back in the day, so I want to encourage you indulge in physical ways of enjoying music! Records, CDs, tapes, whatever calls to you. You can always find portable players second hand, and make it a means of more intentionally enjoying something I'm sure you still love.
