PROJECT THREE: PROPOSAL

      Aims and Objectives:

  For this project I will be exploring the relationship between light and photography by abstracting objects to find out ways in which light changes objects and how we perceive them, so that they are no longer related to their original function.

  Method:

  I would like to create a series of images of four types of food that people commonly eat and photograph each twice. One image will be how aesthetically appealing the object of food is and the second image will change how we perceive the object of food whether it be the reality of the object an abstracted form of the object or a new way of looking at the object.

  Rationale:

  I have chosen to do this for my project because i find the ways in which different light can change the form and meaning of an object to be an interesting area to explore.

Initial Proposal. 

Project Three - Light.

  Aims & Objectives

The exploration of the interaction light has on the basic elements. I think I will begin mainly concentrating on water and the way in which the relationship between both is formed. I am wanting to show various dynamics with various different elements as I develop my project further. I may want to explore the way in which light can reveal a section of something or someone even when shrouded with darkness. 

Method

I plan on playing round with the use of LED lights and possible lanterns. I wish to experiment with a slightly more close up view of light and try to highlight the way in which lights bring luminosity to their surroundings. I will also probably need to be using a tripod if my photos are often needing to be taken in the dark. Potentially I could play round with the type of light that is being used. For example use a combination of LED lights and more natural looking light like candles
