Rather than go to the Tokyo area for all the modern and fashion scene, I decided to go for the sub-urban city Kamakura for a different kind of sightseeing. Kamakura is in the south side of Tokyo, if you are travel from place around Shibuya, there is express train send you from Tokyo to Kamakura area in about 30min. As I stayed in Yokohama area, it is even shorter distance, about 20min by local train. Kamakura is an old town, and it has many historical shrines in the city. as there's hills, also near the beach, the scenery is quite nice. It is It is very popular tourist spot for Tokyo/Japanese people to do short day/weekend trips. It was my second time visit this city, last time was about 10 years ago.
