I love how the majority of books with trans protagonists (that I've read) are like "hey, things will get better, find people who love and care about you and be yourself, it's okay, you're not broken just because you don't fit into society's standards" and AJW's books are all that as well but with the added message of "and don't forget to be angry and kill your enemies!"

It isn't an Andrew Joseph White book if the main protagonist isn't being tormented by intense psychological, mental and physical horrors
