Here’s a Dredd painting I did based on the classic “Un-American Graffiti” strip from back in the day. It’ll be appearing in 2000AD as a pin-up soon I believe… spray cans and acrylic on canvas. It’s for sale, so if you fancy it bung me a DM… cheers! #judgedredd #dredd #2000ad #2000adcomics #2000adart #comicart #painting #scifiart #scifipainting #drokk @2000adcomic @judgedreddfanpage https://www.instagram.com/p/Ckibva6sqmt/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

🔸Admittedly, it's drawing the likes of JUDGE DREDD that I find meditative. I wonder why that is? 🤔 #shanewhite #comics #illustration #concepts #art #traditional #digital #mixedmedia #judgedredd #meditation #drokk #2000ad https://www.instagram.com/p/B-F7OruBm8r/?igshid=13s660f94t8tb
DROKK: Music Inspired by Mega City One 2019 Special Edition (180 gram, double vinyl, Invada Records, 2019)
“America is an irradiated wasteland. Within it lies a city. Outside the boundary walls a desert. A cursed earth. Inside the walls a cursed city, stretching from Boston to Washington, D.C. An unbroken concrete landscape. 800 million people living in the ruin of the old world and the mega structures of the new one. Mega blocks. Mega highways. Mega City One. Convulsing. Choking. Breaking under its own weight. Citizens in fear of the street. The gun. The gang. Only one thing fighting for order in the chaos, the men and women of the Hall of Justice. Juries. Executioners. Judges.” - Dredd, 2012.
If you’ve not seen Pete Travis and Alex Garland’s DREDD I urge you do so. While DROKK has nothing to do with the official film, being a soundtrack for a fabricated Dredd film, I could totally hear DROKK being used in the 2012 movie. It’s an electronic feast for the ears.
Suffice to say I’m delighted to get my mitts on the special edition release of DROKK from Ben Salisbury and Portishead’s Geoff Barrow. Will go nicely with my 2012 death 💀 edition of the same.
