In fact, by the sacred breasts of the gods...!
is the only acceptable way of starting a 13 line long question
Public DRN release coming soon 👀
Hello folks! It's January, which means it's time for me to go wild on an idea that no one else has really though about that much. Today I'm talking about the music in Deltarune and what it means when/if it's diegetic, including who might be making the music! It was a surprisingly deep dive and I learnt a lot while making it. I hope you enjoy it!
It’s the first Deltarune video of 2026, and what better of a way to start than to immediately nosedive into complete metatextual insanity? H
How would one realistically use DRN? The system makes quite a lot of sense and I would love to use it however my memory card got quite damaged previously and I believe that in the event that I attempt to employ DRN I will have difficulty with large amounts or even moderate amounts of code. You seem well-versed so do you know of any fixes to this? Thanks, ████
I also have memory issues so I'll give you my favorite tips:
Make DRN files as small as possible, usually just one specific task/set of instructions (EX: Separate files for Dishes, Stove, Kitchen floor, Wiping counters rather than "Clean the Kitchen" as one big DRN file)
This can be somewhat counterproductive if you have a very large number of files/folders, but that along with having an additional screen to scan the code (Such as a smart phone) you can refer back to any set of instructions no matter the size, helping with prevention of missing steps and/errors in the code.
It also helps to have individualized executions of each file rather than any big batch files (EX: Instead of doing '2PM alarm: Execute: Chore/Kitchen_Cleanup' you could do 2PM alarm Execute Chore Dishes; 2:30PM Execute: Chore/Kitchen_Counter, 2:45PM alarm Execute: Chore/Kitchen/Mopping)
Those individualized alarms also help if you're setting up chores and want to give yourself leeway if you give yourself extra time, as well as setting specific times to do things if that helps you process/perform the task better.

What’s it like running on DRN? I’ve written a couple programs with it so far, but I’ve never had the chance to run them on myself.
It's weird honestly, for some background I've always felt like I operated different than people around me, having set specific tasks and instructions in my mind to do just about anything. It's exhausting and takes a lot of mental load to process. (Is 24/7 manual blinking & breathing normal? It's part of said mental load for me)
Running DRN is sorta like reading a set of instructions I can't stray away from. Something in myself wants to follow the code down to the letter, while also using logic where there gaps to finish the task.
I wrote most of my code myself so it's basically like pre-loading my mental instructions into storage rather than having to re-compute the task each time I do it.
my other favorite android, dorian
I've been wanting to write public DRN code to give to all y'all machines/robots but like...
What in the world would I even write? I don't want to do anything kinky/sexual (without payment) and I don't really know if making basic tasks/templates would be worth it for usability?
I dunno, if anyone has suggestions or requests feel free to let me know I guess
