#drifter oc

To be honest I’m obsessed with the idea already I just don’t know if I really have a plan for it. Like if its gonna be a primarily art thing, writing thing, or both.

The idea of making it a long, slow-burn fic is appealing but I know myself and I struggle with anything thats not a one-shot/vignette.

I do think it would be interesting if it was just the two of them. It’d be odd not to write in the rest of the Hex, but my idea is that it would be more of a character study of both of them and the parallels/contrasts between them. For example, Arthur no longer being or looking fully human anymore and changing externally but having all these very complicated, very human emotions. Locke still looking fully human, but being so apathetic/ dead inside that she no longer feels human due to lack of human emotion.

The question then becomes what kind of setting/time period is this in. If we’re going for a traditional like Forgotten Realms type of setting, having Duviri be a magical kingdom makes sense and Locke would have her silver hair, pink eyes and moon tattoo. If it’s more like a pirates of the caribbean type of setting, Duviri may or may not work and she would have the same hair/ eye colour as Eden (black and brown) with no tattoo.

Then the issue of why Arthur is alone, how did he become what he is, and how do Entrati and the Indifference potentially work into the rest of it. This would really only be for exposition purposes. Like i said, if I was gonna write/draw this it’s going to be solely about Locke and Arthur being isolated out at sea, with Locke stranded on an island near where Arthur lives. I’d want it to be about them opening up to each other in tiny bits. And it’d be interesting to have Arthur meet her in her apathy spiral rather than after shes left it.

After a long time, they build a routine. They talk more. And then…… well, I shant say 😏
