Drew and his clan were in some trouble the last few days. A powerful vampire, someone they banned nearly fifty years prior for murdering one of their own, had returned. They planned to do worse, but no one in the clan had been strong enough to at the time. So he was exiled. Where he went, they didn’t know but as long as he wasn’t there they were happy. But he was back, and he was angry. Ever since the news broke there had been incidents around the clan: dead crows and bats at their doorsteps, threatening notes, someone even got attacked by him, but fled before he was able to do any real damage. Drew was, at that point, the only one of them who was able to actually stop him, so he was yet to experience any sort of targeting. Not until that night, at least. He knew he was too strong for him to work his magic on, but Todd’s human mind was more than susceptible to each and every one of his powers. And perhaps that was even more devious than deciding to go after him, but he knew just how to deal with him once he got his hands on him. Currently, his weapon of choice came in the form of a strong hallucination. He had no idea what vision he was broadcasting into his lover’s head, or why he was so compelled to it, but Drew had to hold Todd back from running into oncoming traffic — and in that moment he had never been more grateful for his enhanced strength.

They were watching television in the living room. Drew was in the middle of a text conversation with his uncle, so he lost control of the remote some time ago. He didn’t even look up to see what Liam changed it to. His uncle wasn’t the happiest about the newest addition to his household, which was to be expected. It was partially the reason why he was hesitant to tell him, but he knew the two kept no secrets between each other. Technically he wasn’t doing anything wrong. It wasn’t outlawed for a wolf and a vampire to mingle in such close proximity, just sort of frowned upon. Normally he would have frowned upon it as well, but this was a special circumstance (and really, he was starting to get used to having the other around — but that was something he would in fact keep from his uncle).

He was in the middle of typing out a rather long message when he felt a set a fingers start to card through his hair. Finally, he lifted his gaze off the phone and pointed it to the source of the sudden contact: Liam, who was dressed head to toe in articles of his clothing. It was to mask his scent from anyone his parents may have sent to find him, but he wasn’t able to suppress the small grin formed across his lips at the sight. The touch caught him a bit off guard, but he didn’t shy away from it. Quite the opposite, in fact. “Is that your way of saying I need’ta pay attention?” He asked teasingly, his head leaning back slightly into the touch. He shoved his phone back into his pocket-; whatever his uncle had to say could wait. There was no changing their current situation, so any complaints fell on deaf ears. He reached an arm out, wrapping around Liam’s Fram in order to pull him in closer.

Imprisoned/Trapped Monster Starters

It was a game they had been playing for centuries, Drew and the members of his dwindling clan. They were hunted for their powers. Some were captured, some tortured, experimented on until they were eventually given the mercy of death; all in order for humans to harness their power and use it for their own selfish benefit. It was why the five remaining members, Drew included, decided to blend in with society; ti hide right in plain sight. They settled in what is known in present-day as New York City, and were able to live in peace. —- That is, until they were exposed. Only a few people actually know what they were, and they were people they thought could be trusted. But someone must have ratted them out. Whether it be by force, bribe, or their own free will;— their graves had been dug up and the traitor was the one holding the shovel.

One by one, they started to be picked off. First was a cousin of his; stakes pelted through his entire body as if the hunter feared his body would float away. The next was a cousin of his, she only went missing. However, Drew would soon learn her fate as he was the third captured. It was late at night. He had been running an ‘errand’ for his uncle, the leader of their clan when he was attacked by two figures and dragged into an alleyway. He attempted to fight back, but one of the creatures cast a spell to put him to sleep, and, well... he fell asleep.

He woke up in a room he was only able to assume was hundreds of feet below the ground. There were no windows, barely any light at all really. And the air was dry. Next to him had been the charred, mutilated corpse of the girl who went missing. He waited for what he expected to be his own death, but nothing. He was checked on every so often, occasionally ‘fed’ (though he wasn’t prepared to call what they offered him actual sustenance), but most of his days were spent by himself. Until someone else had finally been captured. No one he recognized, they didn’t even seem to be a vampire like he was. That meant they were an opportunity for him to feed in the first time in what felt like y e a r s. However, he managed to refrain. They seemed so bewildered, much worse off than he was when he was first thrown into the cell. He felt a little bad.

“This is home now. Until we can find a way outta here.” He explained to the newcomer, eyes scanning the area of the room outside of their cell. Searching for any sort of inconsistency they could use to their advantage. Finally, he turned back to look them over again, a sympathetic look falling over dull red eyes. He extended an arm out, offering his hand for them to shake. “The name’s Drew.”

“Well, why would you wanna do that?” Drew questioned, a faint grin on his lips as he did so. Was he a little drunk? Definitely. But that didn’t change the fact that he thought what the other male was proposing was a bad idea. For his sake, at least. His life was a rollercoaster, one that half of the time even he didn’t want to be on. Bringing someone else into all of that wouldn’t have been fair to them. The bartender didn’t know everything about him, but he thought at least enough to know that this was a dangerous move.

Still, he can’t help but be amused by the idea of being more than friends. He did care about Fred in that way, a lot. He wanted to be able to shrug the entire thing off and stay away, but he never would have allowed himself to. “But, uh, say I didn’t wanna be just friends with you either. Where do we go from there?”

Working for a man like Drew’s uncle, though a lot of good came out of it, also came with a lot of risks. One of those risks was getting jumped in an alleyway by his uncle’s rivals. That was what happened that night. Drew was just taking a quick walk to the corner store when he attacked by three guys. Without an ounce of hesitation, he grabbed and punched at anything he was able to reach. He was his uncle’s best bruiser for a reason, and he was going to show them exactly why. Two of the guys went down pretty quickly, it was the third who presented the most challenge. He was just about to overpower the large man when he took a pocket knife out and jabbed it into his arm repeatedly. Stunned by the pain, he didn’t even notice the men flee as he grabbed at home. The cuts weren’t too deep, and really Drew didn’t feel like coming up with an excuse to explain them to a doctor, so instead of the hospital he decided on going back home to get patched up. It was much easier to explain what happened to Kit anyway, considering he worked a similar position to him in the past.

They sat out on the balcony. He stopped keeping track of the time hours ago, before the attack even took place. It was still dark outside though, aside from the light spilling out from the inside of their apartment. He sat on the patio bench next to Kit, smoking another blunt in an attempt to help the pain in his upper arm subside. “That guy better hope he doesn’t see me again, I’ll cut his fucking head off with that baby knife.” He grumbled to himself, looking down at the bloody knife on the floor nearby as he took a long drag. He was a bit lost in his thoughts when he felt the other grab his hand. He looked down at where they connected, Drew’s hand covered in blood from clutching at his wound and Kit’s the slightest bit cleaner after helping him. A smile grew on his lips at the sight. He brought their hands up to his lips, pressing a light kiss to the back of his lover’s hand -and accidentally getting a taste of his own blood-. “I’m being selfish. Want a hit? Least I could offer ya’ for being such a good nurse.” There was a bit of a teasing tone to his words, but he really did appreciate that he had Kit there.
